| 1991 Chevy Blazer S10 - Ignition switch actuator rod problem (not in Chilton) | | Ignition had to be replace. Rod has rotated to vertical position (should be horizontal). I was told that this was common. I have removed steering wheel, lock plate, turn signal assembly, and ignition lock. Chilton's manual doesn't tell me how to go any further. I have a tilting steering wheel assembly still in place. I don't remove it. I tried removing the transmission shift arm in order to move the collar down out of the way, but it won't move. do I have to remove the tilt assembly? Is so, how? Is there a way to remove the rack and pinion, that connects to the rod, without removing the tilt assembly. Do you know how to get the transmission shift collar out of the way so that I can get at the back side of the tilt assemnbly where the rod connects. Note: I and someone more experienced have already tried... | |
| | man drives stolen car to police station and demands ...... | | 2,000 that was seized during an arrest be returned to him...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23264789/Just when I think I've heard of stupidity, another person comes along and tops it....Well heres the nutshell of it.He drove a car to a police station that he stole, and demanded 2,000 that was confiscated back during a drug bust, and when police officers told him to leave, they noticed he got into a car that matched the description of one that was stolen about 3 hours agoThey told him to shut it off and in order to do so he had to use a screwdrive as he had removed the ignition switch...Ok, did the man think he would not get caught? What was the purpose? Did he want to go back to jail? Or is this guy just a few fries short of a Super Sized value meal?Mooch | |

| 1993 Honda, Civic DX, 1.5 engine. Starts one | | 1993 Honda, Civic DX, 1.5 engine. Starts one time and not the next and now it won't start at all. When it won't start it isn't sending power to fuel pump. Turns over, no problem there. Many tell me to change the ignition switch. I opened the switch behind the key and cleaned contacts with no help. Changed the master relay, checked ground on both fuel pump and battery--no help. Is there a pick-up coil that would stop power from going to fuel pump? Any help greatly appreciated. Art XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX | |
