| Tail Light Problems | | Ok so our left rear tail light is out. I bought a new bulb for it and it worked for about a day but then it went out again. Don't know what the problem could be. Guy at the dealership said it wouldnt' be a fuse. They want like $100 to fix it without even knowing what's wrong. We got pulled over twice in a week cause of it and now we have 10 days to fix it and we have to go to the station to prove it's fixed. Any ideas on what this could be and is it easy to fix? Also when I took the old bulb out there was a lot of rust or gunk inside if that makes a difference. | |

| | No Tail Light | | "How long have you been driving without a tail light?" asked the policeman after pulling over a motorist. The driver jumped out, ran to the rear of his car, and gave a long, painful groan. He seemed so upset that the cop was moved to ease up on him a bit."Come on, now," he said, "you don't have to take it so hard. It isn't that serious.""It isn't?" cried the motorist. "Then you know what happened to my boat and trailer?" | |

| | I am so freaking blonde that even I find it difficult to deal with me!! | | So tonite (ll:30pm) I'm driving home from work and suddenly I see the blue lights behind me. I am not at all surprised as it happens all the time at that hour. I have a tail light that keeps going out and I was pretty sure that i was speeding. So I pull over and pull out my licence and reg. I put out my cig and turned down the music and waited....& waited....& waited. I was starting to get angry...just wanted to get home. FINAlLY at long last I see the officer walking towards my car and with much effort I roll down my frozen window to hand him my paperwork. He said,
"I don't want you." Now I'm confused. he then says, did you not see the guy behind you that I stopped. Stunned I looked again. Oh sure enough. He said, "your free to go unless you want me to see if you have any outstanding warrants." All that time and stress for no reason. I had a written warning on the tail light 2 weeks ago and even tho I had it fixed it is out again so I was sure that I was in for a huge fine that I can't afford. Anyway...alls well that ends well. Guess I should look at it from the standpoint that I am "freaking Lucky". | |

| I Wonder If My Day Could Get Any Worse?!?!?! | | Well to start off the day was totally not pleasent at all. I went to bed shortly after 6am this morning and woke up with extreme cramps and spasms in my back. So I figure get up walk around for a bit maybe it will ease off in time. Well it's 8am in the morning and I felt really tired. And with having the cramping and spasms wasn't enough. I start to hear loud loud voices and alot of pounding. We have all the windows open in the house and it sounds really near. So anyway I walk into the kitchen and find 2 people standing on the garage roof next door to us. They are shingling the roof on the garage. If that wasn't enough I looked out the window and noticed I parked my motorcycle right next to this garage but it is our yard. I quickly ran outside and looked at the bike. I noticed that I got a huge crack in my mirror on the right side and my frigin tail light is busted. I started screaming at the top of my lungs. I was so furious and very outraged. They honestly couldn't say one word to me and just stared at me and went duh. Anyway I ran inside grabbed the key to move the bike so that I didn't get the paint job all scratched up and more damage... | |
| | 1998 Ford Explorer - Tail lights | | Does anyone know how to change the rear tail light on a 98 Ford Explorert the top of my lungs. I was so furious and very outraged. They honestly couldn't say one word to me and just stared at me and went duh. Anyway I ran inside grabbed the key to move the bike so that I didn't get the paint job all scratched up and more damage to the bike. I moved the bike and noticed that the mirror on the right side is cracked right at the bottom and is hanging pretty much by the thread. I am more outraged at this point. I go inside shower and get ready to take the bike down to get looked at. I can't drive without a tail light and one mirror that is messed up. I get down there and because that it was a custom tail light and mirror. I have to order them in from the states as they don't sell them in Canada and it is going to cost over $1500 to get it fixed. I ordered the parts on the spot and will have to wait 6 - 8 weeks before they get here. (Now I am unable to drive my bike for the remainder of summer is because of this stupid tail light or I can spend another couple hundred to get a normal tail light. I come home park the bike in the back yard again and to... | |

| | Do you let people know? | | When you see someone on the street with a tail light or head light out do you tell them? I don't mean stalk them to their next stop, but if you stop next to them at a red light, or see them in a parking lot that you happen to be in, do you say anything or assume they already know and say nothing? My husband thinks I'm nuts but I tell people when they have a brake light or something out. It's something you're SUPPOSED to check every time to get behind the wheel of your car, make sure all lights are operational, but I don't know of anyone that really does. I've never had anyone get snotty with me for telling them and they are usually thankful since police love to pull people over for that kind of thing here. They also, at least 9 out of 10, had no idea the light was out. I was just curious if anyone else did this or not? | |
