| Pregnancy test kit: is it accurate? | | Hi! I noticed that I missed my period on the date that it should have and it is almost 1 month already. So I bought a pregnancy test kit and the result is positive so i was shocked because i am not ready yet. Before my test i experienced symptoms that my period is about to come and until now i experiencing it. So I am confused because I do not feel any symptoms of being pregnant. I would like to ask if a pregnancy test kit is reliable and does sometimes the result is false? Please I want to know your opinion about this. Please share your experience. | |
| | Sex test kit, do you support it or you are against it? | | Recently in Uk, some company has released Sex test kit. By using it after 6weeks of pregnancy. A women can find out what the gender of her baby. Do you support such products or you are against them? Coz anti-abortion commitee are strictly against it.
Personally i think people would use it just to kill their curiousity. Finding out the gender of your baby and aborting your baby is completely different | |

| | I don't know how to react!?! | | Okay, so I went to my OB last week for my regular monthly check- up. She told me I might be pregnant again. My reaction was, "That fast?" I mean, I just gave birth to my 4 month old baby boy last September and she was telling me again that I might be pregnant. So it means taking pills does not work then huh? A week after I gave birth my OB asked me what type of family planning my husband and I want. She suggested taking contraceptive pills. So I said okay. Then, she is telling me that it did not work. I will be back again to her next week to confirm if I am really pregnant. I am just shocked and surprised because I just can't believe that I can get pregnant again that soon. Well, I bought a pregnancy test kit and it turned out positive confirming I am pregnant. That is why I stopped taking my pills. I am afraid on the possible side effects it will cause to my baby. I still have to go to her next week though to undergo an utrasound. Well, if I am really pregnant again I'll take it as a blessing and hope the baby is as healthy as my first one. | |

I can see that DNA tests can be useful in determining Paternity, & perhaps serious genetic defects, but what about the sex of the baby?

| Pregnancy Test - When do you get one? | | My husband and I have been trying to concieve for just over a year now. When we first started I'd be a few days late, and, all excited, I'd go and get a pregnancy test kit. The result would be negative, and a day later I would get my period. I soon gave up getting so excited and now just try to forget about it.I am now 4 days late, and just got sent home from work sick! | | We did it finally (DNA test)! | | Finally we have done it. We ordered a DNA test kit. Today, my husband did his sample for the test. I had already collected samples from my 13 year old step son. Details were filled in, permission form filled in & now it's posted. It takes about ten days to get the results back. This is a Paternity test. My husband is almost certain that his son, is not really his son. | |
